The Indian Muslims were somehow different — more progressive and more reasonable, all thanks to the great Indian democracy

The first thing you notice about a person is the texture of their skin. A smooth, glowing, reddish skin — neither too oily nor too dry — reflects the health of a person and points to the smooth functioning of processes such as digestion and blood circulation. The following asanas, mudras, pranayamas and kriyas are specifically designed to improve blood circulation, cleanse the system and restore internal balance. The result: beautiful, radiant skin.

London: US presidential candidate Barack Obama, wrapping up an overseas tour where he got a rock star reception, defended his decision to take the trip despite mixed signals about its impact on his popularity at home."I am convinced that many of the issues we face at home are not going to be solved as effectively unless we have strong partners abroad," he told reporters in London yesterday after meeting British Prime Minister Gordon Brown."This was important for me not only to try to highlight or amplify how the international situation affects our economy back home but also hopefully to give people at home, but also leaders abroad, some sense of where an Obama administration might take our foreign policy

In a match dominated by not one but two spin wizards, Sri Lanka completely destroyed the Indian batting line-up twice over to script their best win at home. India started the fourth day needing 242 runs to avoid the follow-on but, with 77 minutes to go to stumps, they had slumped to their third-worst Test defeat ever with an abject collapse against Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis. Murali and Mendis, assisted by the ever-alert close-in cordon, did not loosen the vice-like grip they had had over the batsmen from the moment the ball was thrown to Mendis in the 10th over of India's first innings. With Mendis keeping the batsmen on a leash - his only two bad deliveries were the full tosses in his first two overs - and leaving the batsmen mesmerised, it was Murali who smiled his way to two five-fors and his 21st ten-wicket haul, which was also his fourth at the SSC.
